WELCOME!

CONGRATS TO 8TH GRADERS! 8th grade Confirmation tests were AMAZING! I am so, So, SO proud of all of you on your accomplishment!! Keep up the good work... only about 6 weeks until the BIG Day! :)

** The purpose of this blog is to be a resource for students and parents to provide an overview of the weekly agenda and assignments in 6th grade Reading and M/S Religion. Please know that my lesson plans posted on here are as accurate as can be. However, they are not set in stone and can change throughout the week. If there are any changes, the students will be made aware of them in class and it is their responsibility to adjust accordingly.**

7th Grade Religion 10/10 - 10/14

This week 7th grade will be working on chapter 5 in their religion books: Jesus Christ, the Good News
Students have been having trouble focusing on what we are working on in class so students are asked to really concentrate in class, check their behaviors so that we can have a productive class for everyone. It's good to have fun and conversations, but please, let's keep them to a minimum. We will be taking notes from the PowerPoint, reading through the chapter and discussing main ideas starting on Tuesday.
** Look for a test happening towards the end of next week (10/17 - 10/21)

Homework/Classwork Policy

In both reading and religion, students will have assignments that are to be complted in class or as homework. These assignments not only enhance the students learning, but give feedback to myself, parents, and students about where they are academically. For this reason, I have to following policy regarding late and missing work:

-If the student misses a day of school, they have up to 2 days to get missing work in. After the 2 days, students will receive 10% off their earned grade if it has not been turned in.
-If a student IS present but doesn't turn in classwork or homework when due, they will receive 10% off their earned grade.
-After 10 days (2 weeks of classes) from the due date, assignments will no longer be accepted. This includes work that is not turned in due to absences.**

**If there are special circumstances, parents are asked to email me about making arrangements prior to the 10 day cut off.
