6th Grade Religion

6th Grade is working in chapter 15: A Divided People.  This chapter talks about the division of the Israelites kingdom after the reign of King Solomon.  Students are learning that greed, idolatry, and life without God leads to trouble, hostility and conflict for the tribes of Israel.  They will be finishing the chapter early next week (May 14th-15th) and will be testing at the end of that week.  The two worksheets will be due on Wednesday and corrected together at that time.  This is the last chapter for the year.

7th Grade Religion

7th Graders are working on a paper/test in religion class through Monday.  The test focuses on the Corporal Works of Mercy: feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, visit the imprisoned, bury the dead, shelter the homeless and visit the sick.  They have been asked to discuss the meaning and purpose of the CWM along with discussing 5 of the 7 CWM: why "it" is important and what they can do to live out the CWM.  The paper/test is based on their knowledge of their faith, discussion of the CWM, and the needs of the world.

8th Grade Religion

8th grade is finishing up chapter 4 in their religion book: We Love God and Others.
